To the publication should be accepted scientific and scientific-engineering papers showing the results of investigations carried out by an author (authors), scientific reviews, proceedings of scientific activities (symposiums, conferences, seminars and so on) which must correspond to journal themes.

2. The authors should present original works containing reliable results of the scientific work done. When using a text or graphic documentation borrowed from the works of other persons the essential references to the corresponding publication are to be carried out. If manuscript elements are already published elsewhere earlier, then the authors must refer to an earlier work having pointed out a difference of the new work from the previous ones.

3. Paper submissions to more than one journal are unacceptable and considered to be author’s unethical behavior.

4. For paper publication in the journal the following should be submitted either to the editorial board in an electronic way (aim-pu@mail.ru), or at the registration at the electronic editorial board of the journal on the site (https://bstu.editorum.ru/ru/nauka/journal/93/view):

Vladimir I. Averchenkov is a well-known scientist in the field of mathematical modeling and computer simulation of technological design processes in mechanical engineering and in the development of new efficient techniques. As a result of scientific investigations carried out by him there are formed fundamentally new approaches to the formalization of the methods of formation and choice of efficient techniques ensuring a required quality of products, decrease of labor intensity, power consumption, material consumption and cost price of manufacturing products under conditions of automated decision-making. On the basis of the theory of structural and parametric optimization of technological objects developed by him there were created a number of subsystems of automated design of engineering processes, databases and expert systems of technological purpose introduced at a number of industrial enterprises of the country. Prof. Averchenkov’s well-known scientific works on the investigation of the phenomenon of technological inheritance with results of which allow controlling the process of product quality formation at all stages of its manufacturing. As a result of the investigation the ways of artificial intelligence application for a technological problem solution he offered an approach to the development of fundamentally new methods of processing.

Prof. Averchenkov is the author of more than 700 scientific works including 60 monographs, textbooks, manuals and 8 inventions. Among these works the most known are 10 monographs published on the basis of the research results carried out jointly with the scientists of Ukrainian Academy of Science and those of Belarusian Academy of Science. He proved himself to be an able organizer of scientific groups, under his leadership there was formed an all-institute laboratory of engineering process automated design. And in 1991 there was formed  Bryansk Regional Center of new information technologies where complex works on informatization of education and other fields of activities in Bryansk region.

In recent years under his leadership more than 20 scientific, research and design works were carried out according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, regional departments and industrial enterprises of the region.

Prof. Averchenkov is a Chairman of the Dissertation Council on Doctor and Candidate degree theses defense on three specialties in the field of informatization, and also a member of some other dissertation councils on Doctor’s degree theses defense.
