STUDY OF SPATIAL UNUNIFORMITY OF PASSENGER TRAFFIC IN URBAN TRANSPORT
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Objective: to improve the accuracy of passenger traffic forecasting when developing models of urban transport systems. Task: to conduct field studies of passenger traffic in cities of Russia and Belarus with different populations; to propose a technique for spatial estimation of passenger traffic; to identify patterns of change in passenger traffic as it moves from the center to outlying districts, in various kilometer zones. Research methods: mathematical and statistical methods of analysis, field experiment. Novelty of the work: a technique of searching for the graphic center of the city's transportation network is proposed, as well as a method to divide the city's territory into separate kilometer zones. Study results: mathematical patterns of changes in the average value of passenger traffic are found out as it moves from the center to outlying districts; some mathematical formulas are obtained for predicting passenger traffic for cities with different forms of territory development.
